Saturday night we were in our Ward's One Act Play (Roadshow). When Moira saw me all ready for the dress rehearsal on Thursday she told me, "Pretty orange dress mommy!" I told her thanks, I made it. So she asked me to make her an orange dress. I thought she'd forget about it, but everyday from Thursday to Sunday she told me and Rich more than once, "Mommy make Moira pretty orange dress." So Sunday morning when that was the first thing out of her mouth I knew she was serious.

It had been four years since I'd sewed this "dress" (actually a skirt and top), but I was pretty sure I had some extra fabric. I dug my fabric box out of the closet and lo and behold I had enough to make Moira a skirt just like mine. After a delicious Mother's day breakfast prepared by Rich, I went to work sewing and in no time at all Moira had a new skirt. She was so excited that we were matching and it gave Mother's day an extra fun little zing!

Usually after church we put Moira right down for a nap (Church is from 1-4 pm, right during nap time). But Rich had made a delicious dinner for us, so I thought let's just eat and then put Moira to bed early (she was definitely tired). She made it about half way through her meal before zonking out in the high chair. Poor little tired cutie!
It was a wonderful mother's day! I hope you all enjoyed it too!
