Moira is a Princess

Moira loves Princesses. Everyday she wants to wear a dress because that is what a princess wears. No one has ever told her this, she has just noticed it on her own. Her obsession has been growing over the past 6 months and really culminated about the time we started letting her occasionally watch movies (after she turned 2). Cinderella was one of the first she watched and has remained a favorite although she's seen a fair share of our vast Disney collection. Her choices are always among the Princess movies. She loves to sing all their songs and dance around too.

Here is a video of Moira after we got her ready for church. She is wearing a dress that my grandma made for me and was one of my favorite dresses when I was little. She calls it her Princess Dress and would wear it every day if I let her.

While on vacation to visit my brother Tom and sister-in-law Allie in Pacific Palisades, California (just north of LA) Moira and I made a visit to Downtown Disney where she picked out a set of 7 Princess figurines. She will play with them for hours. They sing, dance and ask each other, "Where's your Prince?" I didn't realize how badly we needed to get a Prince figurine until Jasmine and Cinderella married each other. I had to explain to Moira that girls marry boys. So if anyone knows where I can get a Prince or seven without having to buy a whole movie set (such as all the Cinderella characters) please let me know!

I'll have to write more about our fun trip later!

Moira-isms: Slumpthing = Something, Chill-lih-lohs = Cheerios, Swimming Cool = Swimming Pool and Sunscream = Sunscreen.

She's a doll! You can blame it on the my Princess party that the two of you came to. That's where it all started
:-D

When I was in Orlando, one of the other teachers wanted to buy something "princess" for his daugher, but he refused to pay $65 for a little princess dress. If I had a cute little princess like Moira, I would totally buy one for her. Maybe you'll have to keep your eye out for a bunch of unattached Ken dolls. Then you can have seven princesses for seven Kens.
