Sun Valley

We had a lovely weekend in Sun Valley Fri 8/1-Tues 8/5 (I tried posting about this earlier but my pictures weren't loading). Here are some highlights!

Moira and Rich in the big chair in front of the Toneri/Hink Art Gallery. Moira loved looking in that gallery because the ceiling is like looking up at ducks swimming in a pond, you see their cute little feet and tails as if you are on the bottom of the lake and they are floating above.

Grandma painted Moira's toenails to match hers, Moira loved it! Grandma even painted mine so we could all match.

At the condo Rich heard a loud crash and went in to find Moira crawling in to the drawer she had just pulled out of the nightstand. Silly girl!
She did so well with going potty while we were there, I was so proud of her! On the way home we only had to make one stop (at Gossner in Heyburn, yummy cheese!) and she stayed clean and dry the whole way!

Moira and Grandma Anne coloring while we wait for our lunch at the Kneadery.
We drove past the Kneadery on the way to and from church on Sunday and there was a long line down the sidewalk so I figured they must have good brunch. I was excited to go there on Tuesday and see what all the hype was about and then I didn't even order breakfast! I figured I was at a place called the Kneadery so I ended up getting a very delicious sandwich!
Our camera is still only working on and off so I'll have to appeal to my mom for a picture of me swimming in the river. It was so fun! There's a little spot where you slide in on a rock and then float down stream to a BIG rock and climb out. Moira liked throwing rocks and splashing in the shallow part.
We went to the opening concert of the Sun Valley Summer Concert Series in the new pavilion (http://www.sunvalley.com/SunValley/info/act.ent.sym.aspx), it was very nice. I always love the concert series, but this one was especially fun because they played the 1812 Overture and Moira loved the canons! She still tells me about the canons saying, "Boom boom boom!"
Overall it was a nice relaxing long weekend. We decided to go kind of last minute so we didn't have a lot of things planned and weren't running around. We just hung out, played games and spent time with our extended family. It was great!

I just posted this today, but I started typing it on Friday 8/8 so that's the time stamp.

Fun! Sun Valley looks like a fun place to go, especially if there is family around.
